About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with our school-based team in Columbus. You will work directly with youth in school settings while gaining exposure to various therapeutic areas across the agency. This is a paid position for students currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to youth in school, office, and community settings.
- Assist with case management tasks.
- Learn to conduct diagnostic assessments and create treatment plans.
- Observe therapeutic interventions and engage with youth directly.
- Coordinate with caregivers, parents, foster parents, school staff, and other mental health professionals.
- Manage required documentation and paperwork.
- Travel daily to provide services to families and youth.
- Observe additional therapeutic areas within the agency.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Masters of Social Work or Masters of Clinical Counseling program at an accredited college or university.
- A requirement for an internship or field placement from your institution.
- Proficiency with computers, tablets, smartphones, and office equipment like printers and fax machines.
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- A valid driver license, a good driving record, and reliable personal transportation.
- Automobile insurance with at least $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury liability coverage.
