    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience with the foster care population. You will work directly with youth and foster parents while gaining exposure to case management. During the program, you will also rotate through other agency departments to understand our broader operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Support foster care youth and foster parents.
    • Assist with case management tasks.
    • Learn to create diagnostics assessments and treatment plans.
    • Engage with youth and observe professional interventions.
    • Coordinate with caregivers, parents, school staff, and mental health professionals.
    • Complete documentation and administrative paperwork.
    • Travel daily to provide community-based services to youth and families.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master of Social Work program at an accredited college or university.
    • An internship or field placement requirement from your institution.
    • Minimum age of 21 at the start of the internship.
    • LSW or SWT licensure for master’s level interns.
    • Proficiency with computers, smartphones, tablets, and software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
    • A valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and reliable personal transportation.
    • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 for bodily injury liability.

    • Location: Tallmadge, Ohio.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
    • Status: Full-time.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
