About the role#
This is a casual, on-site position supporting the CT and MRI departments at Nebraska Methodist Hospital. You will assist the team with daily operations while learning the workflow for advanced medical imaging. Shifts are assigned on an as-needed basis and will vary from week to week, including required availability for weekends and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Provide safe, age-specific patient care and education.
- Respond to patient concerns and questions.
- Perform limited diagnostic radiographic procedures within your scope of license.
- Assist MRI technologists with procedures, including patient preparation and communication.
- Transport patients, manage room turnover, and maintain supply levels.
- Complete documentation, including MRI safety screening forms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Radiologic Technology degree program.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in environments with exposure to high magnetic fields and biological agents.
