About the role#
Nordson EFD is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to join our team in Norwich, Connecticut. This role supports our Quality Assurance department within a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience with quality systems, process documentation, and statistical process control.
What you'll do#
- Create, review, and update work instructions to ensure they match current manufacturing practices.
- Align control plans with SPC software to monitor critical process parameters in real time.
- Support quality system improvements, including audit readiness, document control, and tracking corrective actions.
- Take part in root cause analysis and help develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Work with engineering and production teams to maintain quality standards during the molding process.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software.
- Ability to multitask and work as a self-motivated individual.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on within the manufacturing facility.
