About the role#
North Park University is hiring a Student Activities Assistant and Ultimate Frisbee Coach. This role supports the Office of Student Activities and the Office of Intercultural Student Affairs. You will help create spaces for student success and belonging while coaching the Allihopa and Lost Boys Ultimate frisbee teams. The position runs from August 2026 through May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute major programs like the Voyage Student Involvement Fair and Homecoming.
- Organize local events in Chicago to introduce students to arts, culture, and entertainment.
- Create co-curricular initiatives focused on culture, identity, and diversity.
- Assist with event support, process reimbursements, and handle program purchasing requests.
- Promote connection opportunities for commuter students.
- Collaborate with team captains to build practice plans and development strategies.
- Travel with frisbee teams to tournaments and events by vehicle.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Coaching or playing experience with extensive knowledge of Ultimate frisbee.
- Experience in student activities, programming, leadership development, social media, and marketing.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a university vehicle.
- Ability to travel on weekends and work evenings for practices and events.
- A personal commitment to the mission of Christian higher education.
