About the role#
This internship provides international students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in restaurant and guest service operations at the Omni Royal Orleans. You will work alongside our service team to learn U.S. hospitality standards while developing professional service skills in a high-engagement environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the food and beverage team with daily operations in the restaurant, coffee shop, room service, and other outlets.
- Practice proper service steps to ensure guests have a positive dining experience.
- Greet guests, help manage seating, and support the flow of the dining room.
- Deliver food and beverages, reset tables, and keep dining areas clean.
- Learn to use point-of-sale systems, reservation platforms, and table management tools.
- Maintain current knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards while working with the kitchen and service teams.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility for a J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa for a hospitality internship or trainee program.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a hospitality, tourism, or related program.
- A strong interest in hospitality and guest service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible schedule that includes availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Location: Omni Royal Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship with a rolling term.
