    About the role#

    The Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network (3CTN) is looking for a student to assist with cancer clinical trial data management and reporting. You will support the development of a national clinical trial information platform by managing records and analyzing system performance. This is a full-time, temporary position running from September to December 2026.

    What you'll do#

    • Review and update cancer trial records in the database.
    • Improve data completeness, consistency, and quality across records.
    • Draft and edit lay summaries of clinical trials for patients and the public.
    • Document data issues and gaps, and recommend follow-up actions.
    • Analyze digital tools and clinical trial platforms to provide development recommendations.
    • Use Excel, Power BI, GitHub, and AI tools to support data analysis and reporting.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a post-secondary program in health, life sciences, public health, informatics, or data management.
    • Advanced MS Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
    • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
    • Familiarity with GitHub for version control and documentation.
    • Working knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to summarize technical information in clear language.

    • Location: MaRS Centre, Toronto, Ontario.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (September to December).
    • Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
