About the role#
The Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network (3CTN) is looking for a student to assist with cancer clinical trial data management and reporting. You will support the development of a national clinical trial information platform by managing records and analyzing system performance. This is a full-time, temporary position running from September to December 2026.
What you'll do#
- Review and update cancer trial records in the database.
- Improve data completeness, consistency, and quality across records.
- Draft and edit lay summaries of clinical trials for patients and the public.
- Document data issues and gaps, and recommend follow-up actions.
- Analyze digital tools and clinical trial platforms to provide development recommendations.
- Use Excel, Power BI, GitHub, and AI tools to support data analysis and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program in health, life sciences, public health, informatics, or data management.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control and documentation.
- Working knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to summarize technical information in clear language.

- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September to December).
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
