About the role#
The Strength and Conditioning Intern supports local high school athletic programs under the guidance of a head coach. This role involves working across various sports and preparing junior high athletes for high school training environments. You may assist at multiple school locations depending on program needs. The internship schedule follows the hours of your assigned coach.
What you'll do#
- Assist with performance testing, program design, and implementation for local high schools.
- Provide feedback on athlete technique and safety after receiving approval from the head coach.
What you'll need#
- Completion of, or current enrollment in the final year of, an undergraduate degree in a science or exercise-related field.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- A desire to pursue a career in exercise science or the intent to earn a strength and conditioning certification such as NSCA-CSCS, NASM-PES, or ACSM.
