About the role#
As a Product Design intern, you will work on product teams with minimal supervision. You will own the end-to-end execution of real product features while working alongside designers, product managers, and engineers. This role requires you to define early product concepts and execute visual designs for complex software interfaces.
What you'll do#
- Define early product concepts and execute high-level workflows and micro-interactions.
- Conduct informal user research by combining qualitative methods like usability tests with quantitative usage metrics.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to prototype and build products.
- Use tools like Figma to create and refine design work.
- Apply knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript to communicate effectively with engineering partners.
What you'll need#
- Active US Security clearance or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Expected graduation date in 2028.
- A portfolio featuring at least one software interface design project.
- Ability to work independently and seek feedback from teammates.
- Interest in designing for data-dense, complex software.
