About the role#
As an Enterprise Cybersecurity IT Policy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the development of cyber policy. You will analyze complex threats and turn your findings into clear, actionable best practices to help users stay secure. You will contribute to initiatives such as cyber compliance, legal and regulatory policies, and organization-wide mandates to build a foundation in cybersecurity risk management and law.
What you'll do#
- Develop a foundation in Enterprise Cybersecurity and understand team organization, principles, and risk management practices.
- Apply your knowledge to real world projects.
- Contribute to policy and standard development, enforcement strategies, technical strategy, and technical communications.
- Partner with senior policy analysts and present your work in team reviews to grow your communication and technical skills.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, solutions, or technologies.
- Proficiency with productivity tools, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to tailor your messages to specific audiences.
- Strong written communication and editing skills.
- Willingness to learn new platforms, such as SharePoint and Atlassian JIRA.
- Pursuing a degree in Law, Policy, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, English, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems.
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree by December 2028.
