About the role#
As an HSE Student in Denver, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our district HSE team. You will take on responsibilities similar to an entry-level coordinator, allowing you to see what a career in construction safety entails. We will assign a mentor to support you throughout your summer term.
What you'll do#
- Assist site professionals with inspections and incident investigations.
- Help orient new employees to the site.
- Manage and review safety documents to ensure they meet company and project standards.
- Collect, review, and distribute safety statistics.
- Assist in developing and implementing project-specific HSE plans.
- Deliver safety programs and orientations to site personnel.
- Input safety data and documentation into company databases.
- Help monitor the PSI program and conduct audits.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Environmental, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 18 years of age with a valid Driver’s License.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Hazard anticipation, identification, and assessment training.
- OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour Certificate of Training.
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

- Compensation: $20 to $26 per hour, based on experience.
