About the role#
As an IT Business Analyst Intern, you will support the implementation and adoption of a new enterprise technology platform. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain exposure to system implementation, user enablement, and technical support. This role mirrors the responsibilities of entry-level business analysts at Pella, allowing you to contribute to real business initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support end user training and adoption for a new core system, including walkthroughs, job aids, and reference documentation.
- Triage reported issues by reproducing problems, gathering details, and escalating to the appropriate engineering team.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into clear documentation for engineering and product teams.
- Serve as a communication link between business users and technical teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Support testing, data validation, and cutover activities as the new platform is rolled out.
- Contribute to an individual project and collaborate with fellow interns on a cross-functional team project.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve problems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies, systems, and technical concepts quickly.
- Strong academic standing and demonstrated leadership or teamwork through campus organizations, work, athletics, or volunteer activities.
Location & details#
- Locations: Pella, IA or Urbandale, IA (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027 (End of May through early August).
- Compensation: $27.25 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship.
- Note: This position does not offer sponsorship. A post-offer background check and drug screen are required.
