About the role#
As a Department Manager Intern, you will work alongside current managers to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This full-time, paid internship takes place during the Summer of 2027. You will earn $27.25 per hour while learning how to lead teams and improve factory operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage factory team members and hold them accountable for their work.
- Oversee daily operations with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Maintain budgets related to labor efficiencies.
- Apply continuous improvement principles, such as Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen, through specific projects.
- Recognize and reward team member performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- A strong drive to develop the people around you.
- A loyal and conscientious work ethic.
- A desire to succeed and improve processes.
- Ability to perform all essential job duties satisfactorily.

- This position is based on-site in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
- This is a full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
