About the role#
The Electrical Engineering Intern supports the Technical Support team within the Marketing Department. You will work on customer energy analyses, data reviews, and research regarding combined heat and power and other energy technologies. This position provides exposure to customer electrical infrastructure and helps engineering staff understand how new equipment connects to existing systems.
What you'll do#
- Assist with energy savings calculations, utility data review, and project tracking for customer opportunities.
- Support research related to distributed generation and other energy technologies.
- Organize and review customer electric and gas usage data to support opportunity screening.
- Assist with site visits by documenting existing electrical infrastructure, such as switchgear and distribution equipment.
- Develop familiarity with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, and basic interconnection concepts.
- Perform related research, analytical, and administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university or college.
- Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least sophomore standing.
- Good academic standing.
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in learning about energy, project management, and business development.
- Coursework in power systems, circuits, or energy systems is preferred.

- This position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- The role is on-site.
- Internships are available during the academic year and summer months.
- Year-round interns should be able to commit to 15-20 hours per week.
