About the role#
The Strategic Accounts team within Global Wealth Management focuses on building and expanding partnerships with large intermediary clients, including national and regional broker-dealers, banks, and platforms. As an intern, you will act as a strategic partner to help provide customized investment solutions. You will collaborate across the firm with teams such as Sales, Product Strategy, Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, economic indicators, and investment products.
- Use data analytics tools to analyze client portfolios, investment performance, and market data.
- Assist in the development and execution of client business plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Provide customized investment solutions to key clients.
- Participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training and engage in cross-divisional networking and social events.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester.
- Minimum 3.3 cumulative collegiate GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Business proficiency in English.
- Strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
- Curiosity regarding emerging technologies and AI tools to solve problems.
- Ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships.
Location & details#
- This is a 10-week, full-time, on-site internship program running from early June to mid-August 2027.
- Locations: New York, New York, or Newport Beach, California.
- This position is paid at an hourly rate of $43.26.
