About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team in Bohemia, New York. You will work under the direction of the VP of Engineering to support various facility and mechanical projects. This is a part-time, on-site position where you will be expected to work 2 to 3 days per week.
What you'll do#
- Create AutoCAD files based on parts, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Draft block diagrams for new and existing facilities.
- Produce technical drawings for mechanical parts and systems.
- Maintain and organize files for future reference.
- Assist with other engineering tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, preferably as a junior or senior.
- Practical experience drawing mechanical parts.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software.
- Strong quantitative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to clear a drug screening process in accordance with federal guidelines.
