About the role#
This position supports the Thriving Panthers: Psychology Pipeline to Success project. You will work within the Department of Psychology to help fellow students succeed through academic guidance and psychosocial support. The role focuses on holistic student development and grant-funded initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Create and pilot a new mentorship program.
- Teach resilience skill-building to students.
- Connect peers to academic, financial, and career services.
- Provide support to Title III faculty members.
- Assist with Title III course evaluation tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Prairie View A&M University for at least six undergraduate or nine graduate credit hours.
- Good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Psychology major status with Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- No prior work experience is required.
- Strong time management, teamwork, and motivation.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May 1 to August 31).
- Employment: Paid hourly position.
