About the role#
Project Renewal is seeking a Research Assistant Intern to support our Healthcare Administration team. You will assist with research protocols, participant engagement, and daily administrative tasks. This role is based on-site in New York.
What you'll do#
- Manage recruitment and retention activities, including identifying eligible participants and obtaining informed consent.
- Conduct data collection through chart reviews, survey administration, and semi-structured interviews.
- Transcribe interviews and maintain accurate study records.
- Communicate with study staff and site providers regarding participant status and troubleshooting.
- Assist the study coordinator with training materials and the SMS text messaging platform.
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, quality assurance, and data management.
- Distribute and collect study materials for participants.
What you'll need#
- A college degree.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with human subject research.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Experience working with the homeless population is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
