    About the role#

    Project Renewal is seeking a Research Assistant Intern to support our Healthcare Administration team. You will assist with research protocols, participant engagement, and daily administrative tasks. This role is based on-site in New York.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage recruitment and retention activities, including identifying eligible participants and obtaining informed consent.
    • Conduct data collection through chart reviews, survey administration, and semi-structured interviews.
    • Transcribe interviews and maintain accurate study records.
    • Communicate with study staff and site providers regarding participant status and troubleshooting.
    • Assist the study coordinator with training materials and the SMS text messaging platform.
    • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, quality assurance, and data management.
    • Distribute and collect study materials for participants.

    What you'll need#

    • A college degree.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Familiarity with human subject research.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
    • Experience working with the homeless population is a plus.
    • Spanish language skills are a plus.
