About the role#
Projects Unlimited Inc. offers hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing. As an intern, you will work on the shop floor to assemble components while learning technical skills in a production environment. This role provides exposure to engineering drawings, technical tools, and assembly techniques.
What you'll do#
- Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products based on work orders, drawings, and specifications.
- Strip, crimp, solder, screw, bolt, and tack weld parts to secure them.
- Position and align parts using jigs, fixtures, or other tools.
- Route wires and attach hardware like caps, clamps, knobs, and switches.
- Prepare assemblies by applying masking or performing spray coat operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and FOD free workspace.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a high school student, recent high school graduate, or college student in a technical field such as Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience with basic hand soldering, small hand tools, and measuring devices is preferred.

- Location: Dayton, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Employees on the shop floor must wear safety equipment, including closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, heel straps, wrist straps, and electro-static discharge lab coats. The environment involves occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical risks.
