About the role#
As a Tax Intern, you will work within the tax consulting practice to support teams in delivering tax services. You will participate in projects, observe professional work environments, and gain exposure to tax methodologies. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Winter 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Support tax teams with tax advice and planning strategies.
- Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
- Analyze tax regulations to help optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
- Engage in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance.
- Conduct tax research to support consulting projects.
- Collaborate on the development of tax models and structures for clients.
- Contribute to tax provisions and audits to validate compliance.
- Apply data analytics to identify opportunities for tax optimization.
- Support the development of regulatory compliance strategies for various industries.
- Learn from experienced tax professionals to build your skills.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA, with a preference for 3.5.
- Typically in your third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program.
- Ability to meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam in your state of employment before starting full-time.
- Intellectual curiosity regarding tax research and planning.
- Experience with data analytics and AI tools for creating efficiencies.
- Background or interest in corporate tax consulting, international tax, and multistate compliance.
