About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work with our Product Development and Product Quality teams. You will help create unique electromechanical solutions to solve design challenges for our products. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Chicago.
What you'll do#
- Build prototypes for electrical drive trains, electronic modules, and other electromechanical assemblies to verify function and performance.
- Participate in product testing and brainstorming sessions to support the design process.
- Create proof of concept prototypes, bills of materials for electrical assemblies, and process maps for Product Development Engineers and Designers.
- Build custom web apps and dashboard tools by coding with the use of AI tools.
- Communicate with engineering teams in the U.S. and overseas via email and conference calls.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college.
- A major in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Electromechanics.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with analog circuit design and testing.
- Proficiency with electromechanical sensors, actuators, motors, and motor controls.
- Experience with integrated software development, including Arduino, Python, and C++.
- Experience coding with AI tools to build dashboards and web applications.
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD modeling.

- Compensation: $21.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on skills, education, and experience.
