About the role#
As a Human Resources Intern, you will work with the HR team to support talent acquisition, engagement, compliance, benefits, and daily operations. You will interact with employees across all departments while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Chicago.
What you'll do#
- Assist with culture-building programs by executing strategies, events, evaluations, and communications.
- Support the summer internship program and various engagement activities.
- Respond to employee and intern requests, ensuring appropriate follow-up and escalation.
- Create content for employment brand social media outreach.
- Conduct research for the HR department regarding recruiting, policies, learning and development, benefits, and compensation.
- Provide day-to-day support for HR programs and compliance initiatives.
- Handle other tasks and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organization Development, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Experience with PowerPoint for creating presentations.
- Experience with AI tools or reporting and data visualization software.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, with a preference for ADP Workforce Now.
