About the role#
The Industrial Design Intern joins our Product Development team to work alongside designers and engineers. This is a paid, full-time position focused on creating new products and supporting our ongoing design efforts.
What you'll do#
- Conduct competitive analysis and testing to inform design decisions.
- Perform user observation and concept validation.
- Participate in individual and team brainstorms.
- Use sketching to communicate and present new ideas.
- Create 3D CAD A-Surfacing models.
- Generate CAD renderings for color, material, and finish.
- Collaborate with the prototype shop to build mock-ups and prototypes.
What you'll need#
- Status as an upper classman majoring in Industrial Design.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior internship experience.
- Proficiency in CAD, specifically Rhino or Solidworks Surfacing.
- Strong sketching skills and a commitment to high-quality design.
- Ability to solve problems and apply team feedback throughout the design cycle.

- This role is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- The position is full-time and follows a rolling term.
