About the role#
This co-op position is based in the Mechanical Power Conversion facility in Rockford, Illinois. You will join the gearbox and turbine product lines to assist in managing cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle. This is a full-time, on-site role that runs from June through December 2027. You will be expected to take a semester off from coursework to participate.
What you'll do#
- Manage assigned projects through milestones while staying within budget and schedule.
- Collaborate with functional areas to deliver results and meet customer needs.
- Maintain project files and prepare documentation such as status reports, schedules, and work requests.
- Create tools to improve the effectiveness of the Value Stream Program Management Team.
- Document and report on significant problem solving events at the end of your term.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Active enrollment through the end of the co-op session.
- Minimum of 30 credit hours completed by the start of the role.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Experience creating Visual Basic macros is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
