About the role#
This Systems Engineering Co-op position focuses on systems integration within our aviation and aerospace component manufacturing operations. The role is a full-time, paid opportunity based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are looking for students available for the Summer or Fall 2027 terms. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Build system configuration tables by identifying necessary inputs and tools from system requirements to support end-to-end communication and application runtime environments.
- Configure and build system field-loadable software for civil-certified military aircraft.
- Improve existing tools and engineering practices.
- Assist engineers in the production and review of engineering documentation for FAA audits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship or co-op session.
- Active enrollment status through the completion of the program.
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including system, electrical, and software engineers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
