    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will provide operational and administrative support to the Trading Room at RBC. This role involves working from the office for a minimum of four days per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide administrative support to the trading desk.
    • Input and reconcile previous day trading activity.
    • Serve as a liaison between trading and operations staff.
    • Ensure all trades settle in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Identify trade settlement issues and propose solutions to reduce risks or costs.
    • Propose and implement automation to streamline existing processes.

    What you'll need#

    • Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to build and maintain macros.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize issues effectively.
    • A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
    • Strong analytical skills to investigate trade discrepancies.
    • Familiarity with trading terminology and back-office processes.
    • Knowledge of systems such as Charles River, Bloomberg, PCView, DTCC, GTSS, or CloudMargin is an asset.
    • You must be returning to school after the work term or require this placement as a mandatory component for graduation.
