About the role#
The Service Intern position is part of the Access Your Future program at RDO Truck Centers. This role provides part-time employment for students pursuing a career as a Service Technician. You will gain hands-on experience in the equipment industry while completing your education. Upon graduation, there is a potential path to full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts and fluids used.
- Maintain a clean work area and care for shop tools, machines, and equipment.
- Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities.
- Keep up to date on technical and product knowledge for equipment.
- Participate in company training and location-based communication efforts.
- Follow all safety rules and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved Diesel Technology program or a program approved by RDO Truck Centers.
- Ability to maintain a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Mechanical skills and experience with trade-specific tooling, including hand and pneumatic tools.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid work authorization for the United States.
