About the role#
REDW Advisors & CPAs is seeking an Audit Intern for our Salem, Oregon office. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience in a professional services firm. You will work in a team-focused environment with exposure to a variety of clients and industries.
What you'll do#
- Work one on one with team members to learn and develop basic accounting skills.
- Help build and expand client relationships.
- Take client expectations from the management team and assist in creating an execution plan.
- Communicate issues to seniors and managers that might impact billing and collections.
- Participate in the execution of planned audit approaches.
- Take responsibility for completing all assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are within one year of being eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- A basic understanding of accounting and reporting standards.
- A flexible schedule that allows for out of town travel.
- Enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration program.
- Knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and GASB standards is preferred.
