About the role#
As a Finance Development Program Intern at Regions Bank, you will gain practical experience and develop foundational skills for a career in finance. This 10-week summer program provides hands-on exposure to the Finance organization. You will support projects that drive business performance, financial planning, and strategic decision-making. Interns are assigned to specific functional areas including Corporate Treasury, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, or Accounting.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial and operational data to support business decision-making.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities.
- Support strategic initiatives across Finance and other business units.
- Create reports, presentations, and analyses for key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance leaders and business partners across the organization.
- Participate in professional development and networking opportunities.
- Gain exposure to basic functions within the financial industry.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week summer program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and attention to detail.

Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at the Regions Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
