About the role#
The Inventory Planning intern participates in the full inventory planning process. You will support the team by developing reports, documenting internal processes, and contributing to data analysis. This role involves managing specific activity transitions and working on projects to streamline operations.
What you'll do#
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly processes to drive improvements and streamline reporting.
- Analyze stock levels with senior buyers to develop processes that optimize min/max levels.
- Develop and manage vendor performance reporting alongside the Inventory Planning manager.
- Integrate FourKites data with the process improvement team.
- Review overdue orders and backorder processes to make recommendations for automation and efficiency.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree with a focus on Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Access, along with intermediate skills in other MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and convey technical information clearly.
- Successful completion of all required screenings prior to hire.
