About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Colorado Springs. You will work on-site to assist our materials process team by analyzing data that spans from the initial production schedule to final product shipping. You will collaborate with operations leaders, buyers, schedulers, and the customer experience team to coordinate material flow and meet company objectives for inventory and resource utilization.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to create scenarios that balance supply and demand.
- Optimize inventory levels and reduce the impact of demand volatility.
- Translate the monthly SIOP consensus plan into detailed weekly and monthly scheduling plans.
- Compare scheduling plans against available capacity.
- Partner with a Project Manager on process improvement initiatives.
- Review data integrity for ERP planning parameters, including lead times, lot sizes, and safety stocks.
- Update training and documentation for master production scheduling, purchasing, receiving, and inventory control.
- Handle other projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or BA degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make recommendations with limited information.
- Ability to communicate effectively across internal materials departments.
- Comfort leading discussions based on your data analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with tools like MS Word and Power BI.
- General knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Principles is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
