About the role#
Roc Nation is looking for a motivated intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 semester. This role is designed for individuals interested in learning about A&R, studio recording, and release planning. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting our Artist Relations Team and contributing to daily administrative operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with artist and song research by monitoring shows, radio play, blogs, charts, demos, and word-of-mouth.
- Coordinate detailed weekly A&R research reports and support scouting projects.
- Monitor and report on domestic and international music charts.
- Track the growth of prospective artists and assist with Artist Relations tasks.
- Transcribe and review lyrics and review clean audio files.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure artist projects meet deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time college student pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree, or recent graduate status.
- A genuine interest in an A&R career and a love for listening to indie and unsigned artists.
- Basic understanding of the music industry and A&R processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently with strong follow-through.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Experience as a songwriter, performer, producer, or engineer is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site (5 days a week).
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour.
- Status: Part-time (up to 30 hours per week).
