About the role#
This internship position is within the Credits, Incentives & Methods group, specifically focusing on Accounting Methods & Periods. You will work with diverse companies to understand their business challenges and provide tax solutions. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 opportunity based in McLean, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Assist with tax planning and research regarding income timing, deductions, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory.
- Help implement multiple projects by conducting client interviews, gathering data, performing analysis, and preparing tax filings.
- Document facts and positions to draft technical memoranda.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support engagement success.
What you'll need#
- Completion of 90 credit hours toward a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Ability to travel to client locations, including access to reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong communication skills.
- Note that this role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.
