About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with clients across various industries, helping them navigate state and local tax requirements. You will join team engagements and work on multiple parts of client assignments. This is a full-time, paid position based in Seattle for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Integrate state and local tax services with existing client accounts.
- Perform tax planning and research tasks.
- Develop an understanding of accounting pronouncements and state and local tax regulations.
- Review current tax processes to find inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with client information technology personnel to gather data for analysis.
- Assist clients in evaluating and implementing sales and use tax software systems.
What you'll need#
- Completed 90 credit hours toward a B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel to client locations.
