About the role#
Rudler offers a Tax Internship that provides hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment. You will work alongside experienced CPAs on real client engagements, moving beyond classroom theory to contribute to actual tax preparation. This role is designed to help you understand the daily workflow of a public accounting firm while receiving mentorship from our team.
What you'll do#
- Load and organize client documents into tax software to ensure data is ready for preparation.
- Prepare individual income tax returns, including Form 1040 and related schedules for wages, dividends, and self-employment income.
- Prepare state and local income tax returns.
- Calculate estimated tax vouchers and quarterly payments for clients.
- Draft extension requests.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or Business degree program.
- Completion of prior accounting coursework, specifically in taxation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- This position is located in Fort Wright, Kentucky.
- This is a paid, part-time, on-site internship.
- Interns typically work 20 to 24 hours per week.
