About the role#
S&B is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern to join the team in Lake Charles. You will work under general supervision to complete design tasks, build your technical knowledge, and solve project challenges. This role follows a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Prepare simple design and construction drawings based on sketches or verbal instructions.
- Perform calculations for specific project segments.
- Update computer lists and proofread reports.
- Use vendor prints, catalogs, and technical manuals to support design work.
- Participate in field assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program for Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering design equipment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
