About the role#
We are looking for interns to join our engineering teams for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced engineers to build technology and products that support our machine learning and data discovery initiatives. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in either Cambridge or New York City.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to real features, receive feedback through code reviews, and deploy your work to our production environment.
- Follow engineering best practices, including static type checking, code legibility, and infrastructure as code.
- Dedicate time to continuous learning and exploration.
- Write server-side and user-facing applications that utilize our machine learning capabilities.
- Design APIs, interfaces, and services that balance immediate needs with future scalability.
- Develop abstractions to support observability and deployment to our core platform.
- Build data ingestion and processing systems for software products and research.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least one area of core expertise, such as distributed computing or deep knowledge of a specific technology.
- A practical understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- A portfolio of work, personal projects, or open source contributions.
- Versatility to contribute across different teams and product suites.
- Strong habits regarding coding, documentation, and communication.
