About the role#
As a Spring Co-op in the mRNA Analytics group, you will support analytical team activities for mRNA drug substances. This role offers hands-on experience with modern analytical techniques used in RNA characterization while you work alongside cross-functional teams in a laboratory setting.
What you'll do#
- Conduct analytical experiments to characterize RNA drug substances using techniques such as NGS, gel electrophoresis, PCR, LC, and MS.
- Support the development and optimization of analytical methods under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Collaborate with analytical, RNA product, and process development teams to support project goals.
- Accurately document experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
- Summarize and present data to team members.
- Assist with routine lab operations, including reagent preparation and equipment maintenance.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a PhD or MS program in Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Coursework or prior lab experience in molecular biology or analytical chemistry is preferred.
- Familiarity with techniques such as DNA/RNA purification, PCR, gel electrophoresis, chromatography, or sequencing.

- Compensation: $35.00 - $58.00 per hour.
