About the role#
As a Substation Engineer Intern in the Grid business unit, you will join a project team to support the design, modification, and upgrade of transmission, substation, distribution, and renewable energy systems. You will work alongside senior engineers to apply your academic background to real-world engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
- Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and relevant data.
- Prepare specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and installation services.
- Solve engineering problems by using automation and agentic AI tools to improve workflows and design efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science program in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience using agentic AI.
- Knowledge of design techniques and principles for technical plans, blueprints, and models.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and prioritize tasks effectively.
