About the role#
We are hiring a Pharmacy Intern to support our Managed Care division in Edmonton. You will work 16 to 20 hours per week, reporting to the Manager of Managed Care. This role provides exposure to marketing, pharmacy operations, and clinical practice. You will help develop and execute programs for pharmacists, patients, and other stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Create communication materials to promote health and wellness programs and advertising tools.
- Work directly with the public in clinical programs under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist with care plans, vaccination services, and chronic disease management programs.
- Support daily pharmacy retail and clinical operations at select locations.
- Coordinate and attend community and in-store health promotional events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Faculty of Pharmacy at an accredited university.
- Completion of your 2nd or 3rd year of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications and Kroll computer systems.
- Knowledge of chronic diseases and vaccinations.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
