About the role#
Schnabel Engineering is looking for a full-time Civil Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. This role focuses on applying professional engineering principles to real-world projects under the guidance of senior staff. You will work on-site in Helena, Montana, from May through August.
What you'll do#
- Assist with geotechnical investigations and analyses.
- Perform design work for retaining walls and excavation support.
- Conduct hydrology and hydraulic studies.
- Prepare construction plans for various projects.
- Perform construction observation and materials testing in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor’s program.
- A valid driver’s license, as driving is required for this role.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check, which may include a motor vehicle record review.
