    About the role#

    This is a temporary full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Longmont, Colorado, from May through August. The role focuses on applying engineering principles to real projects under the guidance of senior staff. You will gain practical experience in dam engineering and related geotechnical fields.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with geotechnical investigations, analyses, and hydrology or hydraulic studies.
    • Support the design of retaining walls, excavation support, and reinforced concrete.
    • Prepare construction plans for various projects.
    • Contribute to advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
    • Perform construction observation and materials testing in the field.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s program for Civil Engineering.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills plus computer literacy.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team under direction.
    • A valid driver’s license, as driving is required for the role.
    • Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Willingness to perform a mix of office and outdoor field tasks.

    • Status: Paid, full-time internship.
    • Note: Some travel may be required.
