About the role#
This is a Winter 2027 internship within the Velocity program. You will join the Enterprise Data and AI Technology organization to support strategic initiatives focused on data-driven decision making and technology modernization. This is a full-time, paid position that provides coaching, training, and exposure to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Build production-grade AI services and pipelines for batch and real-time processing with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Manage the packaging and deployment of models as scalable services, including APIs, jobs, and agents.
- Maintain operational standards through monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with teams to create data-driven solutions for operational needs.
- Design, develop, and test solutions for complex technical problems.
- Experiment and learn new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Engineering, or related post-secondary program.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Experience working in Azure or Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Proficiency in Python for development or data analysis.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
- A strong sense of ownership and a desire to learn.
