About the role#
We are looking for a Technical & Hardware Support Analyst Co-op to join our team. You will report to the Team Lead, Application & Technical Support. This role focuses on the end-to-end tracking and management of IT assets. You will ensure that equipment is properly used, maintained, upgraded, and disposed of at the end of its lifecycle. You will work with end-users, management, and vendors to maintain professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Maintain inventory of IT assets including new, existing, and disposed items.
- Deliver and retrieve IT equipment for staff using courier services.
- Monitor IT assets using corporate tools and maintain data on warranties, licenses, and service-level agreements.
- Manage the IT asset lifecycle, including repairs, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Log all maintenance activities to track asset performance.
- Resolve helpdesk tickets, incidents, and implement user MACD.
- Install and uninstall servers, PCs, network equipment, and phones.
- Lift, move, and install hardware weighing 50 lbs or more, including working in server rooms and under desks.
- Support the corporate Disaster Recovery plan and promote cybersecurity policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program with availability for an 8-month consecutive term.
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of technical support experience with the Microsoft stack, including Windows 10, Windows 11, and Active Directory.
- 1-3 years of hardware support and inventory management experience.
- Experience with end-user support and user MACD.
- Strong communication, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member.
- Experience in a Microsoft server and Cisco switch or firewall environment is preferred.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in downtown Toronto, Ontario.
- The work term runs from January 2027 to August 2027.
