    About the role#

    This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to real projects at Simmons Foods. You will work on a specific assignment related to your field of study while gaining an understanding of our day-to-day operations. The role encourages cross-functional collaboration and professional growth within the food and beverage industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete a challenging project that addresses a current business need and aligns with your major.
    • Present your findings and project work to the team and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
    • Perform daily tasks to learn the fundamentals of our processes.
    • Support a continuous improvement culture by identifying ways to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and USDA/FDA guidelines.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of department policies and goals.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Agriculture, or Operations Management.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
    • Knowledge of business and management principles.
    • Ability to work on your feet for several hours, work in various temperatures, and lift at least 10 pounds.
    • Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions.

    • Location: Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time.
    • This is a paid position.
