About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Hydro and Dams group for a Summer 2027 internship. This role provides hands-on experience in the planning, analysis, design, and construction of water storage, conveyance, and hydropower projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to projects that impact local and global communities.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing project proposals, including scheduling and cost estimates.
- Write technical documents such as calculation packages, design reports, and specifications.
- Support field investigations and the assessment of subsurface conditions by reviewing drilling logs and testing data.
- Characterize geotechnical materials and interpret material properties for design and analysis.
- Handle project administration tasks, including tracking costs and drafting correspondence.
- Perform research, data entry, and simple calculations using industry software.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited engineering program, with at least 3 years of undergraduate coursework completed.
- A focus on civil engineering (geotechnical track preferred) or similar fields.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take direction on project assignments.
