    About the role#

    This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in the transportation industry. You will work under direct supervision across various departments to support agency goals and contribute to ongoing projects. This position is designed to help students build skills through hands-on tasks and collaboration with team leads, project managers, and executive leadership.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform routine tasks within assigned work units.
    • Engage in research and provide insights to support department initiatives.
    • Interact with project managers, team leads, and external partners.
    • Participate in team projects and contribute to agency objectives.
    • Assist in daily operations and gain exposure to professional engineering roles.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

    • Location: Lake City, Florida.
    • Term: Summer 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $15.00 to $25.00 per hour.
    • Commitment: Up to 20 hours per week.
