About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will join our engineering team to support projects in a nuclear environment. This position offers hands-on experience where you will contribute to technical solutions and gain insights into our manufacturing processes. You will work on-site during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Create and update engineering drawings and procedures.
- Assist in the design of products and tooling solutions for nuclear applications.
- Perform testing and analysis to support ongoing engineering projects.
- Help with project management tasks and the procurement of materials.
- Present your project outcomes and insights to the team at the end of your term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering program, or a related technology degree.
- Standing as a sophomore or higher when the internship begins.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Preferred coursework includes Statistics, Mechanics of Materials, or Solid Modeling.
- An interest in engineering innovation within a nuclear environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Mt Vernon, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Pay: $23.83 to $29.81 per hour.
- Benefits: A housing stipend is available for those living more than 50 miles from the site.
