About the role#
SumiRiko Ohio, Inc. is hiring a Communications, Training, & HR Intern to work at our Bluffton site. This part-time role provides hands-on experience in a professional Human Resources setting within the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry. You will support our team with associate communications, workforce training, and general HR operations while working 20-25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Write and design associate communications, including newsletters, flyers, announcements, and digital screen content.
- Coordinate and prepare associate training programs, including scheduling sessions and maintaining training records.
- Create training materials such as presentations and handouts.
- Provide administrative support for daily HR activities and special projects.
- Organize associate engagement events and workplace initiatives.
- Manage electronic and paper records while maintaining confidentiality regarding employee information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively in an office and manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Canva or other graphic design platforms is helpful but not required.
