About the role#
Summit County Public Health is hiring a Public Health Intern for the Maternal Infant Vitality Initiative. This program focuses on improving access to care, supporting healthy pregnancies, promoting safe infant care practices, and addressing factors that contribute to differences in birth outcomes. You will work up to 28 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on relevant health topics.
- Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of local programs and community activities.
- Provide outreach to pregnant women in the community.
- Perform data entry to maintain and update program records.
- Provide support on special projects and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in Public Health or a related field, or be a recent graduate seeking experience.
- A valid Ohio driver's license, liability insurance, and access to an automobile.
